Kiara was my foundation female for my breeding program. I got this wonderful girl at my local big chain pet store in November of 2012. They had her in a cage with about six other hamsters improperly labeled "Panda Bear" hamsters. Kiara is a Black Dominant Spot Shorthaired; her coloration is not within standard as she missing spots on the rest of her body. She has a sweet personality, friendly, and easy to handle. She loves to explore her surroundings, loves the camera and loves to cuddle! She is retired from breeding. During her breeding days she had three litters all sired by Kovo (deceased). She had her last litter in August of 2013.

 

Note: I have found that Kiara was not a carrier of the white belly gene (Wh) as she had three litters that produced no eyeless whites.
